Greetings from the Pro Shop
The 2018 golf season at Teton Reserve is off and running. After a long winter, the course came out looking fantastic. Dereck and I both are operating at full steam and looking forward to long summer days filled with happy golfers.
Dereck and his crew have the course looking better than I have ever seen it. The greens and fairways are immaculate. With the lease of a new rough mower, we are seeing much better consistency in our rough height. The playability of the rough is accompanied with a lush uniform appearance.
With the purchase of 62 ton of premier bunker sand, we have started re-filling our bunkers. With 91 bunkers out there, this will be a work in progress for the better part of the summer. But, golfers appreciate the much needed additional sand. I’ve tried my best to invite my golfers to avoid the bunkers all together. Golf is hard enough.
The Pro Shop is now located by the driving range. We have returned to the original hole rotation and are playing the course as Hale Irwin intended. The new clubhouse location has a nice “central “feel to it. The driving range is nearby and the parking lot is right off of #18. Our golfers are enjoying a better pace of play and the ability to easily hit a warm up bucket of balls before their round. The new clubhouse is snug and comfortable and much easier to clean. The beer is always cold and the dogs hot.
Along with returning regulars, we are seeing a ton of new faces that are eager to call Teton Reserve their local course. Our out of towners are starting to show up. We do our best to treat them like old friends. Along with the great value we offer, we only hope they get a glimpse of why we love to call this valley home.
Come by the clubhouse and say hi. We are all excited to be part of the TR Team and look forward to future.
Enjoy the summer!
